Played for the club since the age of 9 in the Youth ranks, which included a league winning U13 side in 2005. Someday hopes to gain the status and notoriety as club legend and father Malcolm Brown.

An opening bowler who won the 1st XI bowling averages in 2011 and 2012 despite starting every spell with at least 3 very wide balls. Can chip in with a few handy runs in the middle order though has never truly performed to his full batting potential in league cricket.

Would definitely consider himself as a genuine all-rounder who, on his day, can be dangerous with bat, ball, and especially so at the breakfast table

Probably the slowest bowler in the world, usually selected to bolster the average age of any team. May get asked to keep wicket when there really is no-one else to do it....
Tim Connolly Member profile Tim Connolly
A veteran of Takeley cricket club with almost 36 years of experience of the infamous Takeley slope! Finally moved the family to the Village 3 and 1/2 years ago so I could walk home from the soash! I am still keen to play cricket at the very highest level but am sure that it won't be long before I spend my Saturday afternoons batting all day with Mr Sammons!
James Fitten Member profile James Fitten
7 wickets in a match pretty much sums me up. Unorthodox bowler, batsman and fielder.
Paul Gillard Member profile Paul Gillard
Joint on-field jester with Fitten. Never talks about irrelevant social activities until at least 2nd over.

Classy cover fielder who is always keen to get his whites filthy. Although not as keen as the 2012 olympian and eager beaver Ade.

Middle order batsmen and emergency opener against SA bowling and Kiffy.

2009 bowler of the year for the first team with unpredictable raw pace. Never to be seen again after 2010 break!
Andrew Osborne Member profile Andrew Osborne
Reformed wicket-keeper-cum-fielder.

Will bat anywhere from 1 to 11 although not necessarily through choice, but mainly due to a lack of players.

Chief tour organiser of the infamous 'no cricket' 2011 tour to Bournemouth, although not toured since due to nightmares over the 'breakfast table' incident.

Rarely used as a bowler and quite rightly too.

Still one solitary cap for the MCC.

Holds the fine tin.

Adrian Phillips Member profile Adrian Phillips
No.3 Bat and un-used exceptional spin bowler. Previously the best in West Essex U-15's 1999.

Signed from Bishop's Stortford CC for an undisclosed fee in January 2012. Worth every penny!
Jonathan Webster Member profile - no photo available Jonathan Webster
Aggressive middle order and sometimes opening batsmen when managing to hit the ball and legspin bowler. Not one to turn down the offer of a pint or five!
