Match report Weird game!

Takeley had Albury 6 for 3, courtesy of the returning Gustavo's first ever Hat-Trick. It would have been 6 for 4, with Olly Gunn taking a great catch on the boundary for the crucial wicket of Keith Wheatley - whilst on nought, only for Olly being unable to prevent himself from stepping into the ditch with the ball. Desparetly unlucky - as Mr Wheatley then plundered 116 runs. No further wickets fell and Albury reached 243-3, with skipper M.Jolley scoring 97 n.o.

In return, Takeley had an awful start, finding themselves 63 for 7. A stand of 90 between Gustavo (39) and Matt Hindmarsh (44 - "I just kept eye on't ball and twatted it over t'boundary") kept Takeley in the game, as did four quick sixes from "Peggy" Mitchell (38), until the wickets eventually ran out.

Enjoyable, but weird game.
