Match report Takeley won the toss and decided to bat.

Jay Maisey and dave Gunn got off to the usual good start before Dave Gunn was bowled and soon after the skipper was caught. This brought Jack Pickering into bat who has come back from injury and played a superb innings and got a well deserved 38 runs. When maisey lost his wicket, Harry Wright came into bat. It took him a few overs to get his eye in, but once his confidence built up he played an incredible innings and showed his great abilities going on to get another half century. Takeley got 186 and felt that was enough to defend.

Takeley went out to field and had their best start to an innings all season. Ilford were 12-3 off 11 overs with Trev and Maisey keeping it tight. Trev Gunn finished an unbelievable 10 overs by only going for 13 runs. Ilfords 3rd and 4th batsmen seemed to get their eye in and built a really good partnership until their number 3 batsmen decided to go one big shot too many and missed a superb delivery from Callum Fleming who went on to bowl his best spell of the season taking 4 wickets. Fleming has come on brilliantly this year and been taking vital wickets.

Well done Takeley!! lets keep up this performance and hold on to that top position of the table
